Financial Planning for Special Needs Families
Financial planning for an individual with special needs looks for ways to provide the best quality of life when physical, mental or emotional disabilities are present. As a special needs planner, I help you integrate family, emotional, financial, legal and government support that can factor into an organized, actionable plan for you and your child.
Special needs planning is a journey that may begin at early intervention or start alongside an individualized education program. From adulthood transition planning to guardianship or even into adult living, I can walk with you, recommending adjustments along each stage of development. Parents often call this, ‘financial planning to cover two lifetimes.’
As you seek to maximize your child’s quality of life; you may be spending significant time participating in various therapies, searching for Federal programs or health care resources, frequenting medical facilities, etc. Like you, I’m a parent of a child who may always be in my care. While I’m grateful for the professional experience as a financial planner; I have a particular passion to serve families like yours.
Since no two situations are the same, it would be helpful for us to meet and review the unique challenges facing your family.
